Plan International Australia came to VAN O to rebuild their brand awareness, while also positioning for new and emerging donor segments.

Working alongside a stellar team of a strategist, copywriter and another designer, we set to work devising a strategy that ultimately led to clarifying Plan’s purpose (to achieve equality for girls), their view on the gender debate (that by supporting girls you’re supporting boys too) and positioning Plan—both literally and figuratively—behind the girls who have changed their own lives.

We also highlighted girls who have taken extraordinary steps to improve their own lives, then gone on to help others do the same. Be it fighting for an end to harassment on our streets; bringing an end to arranged marriage in their region; shattering gender-norms in long-established industries; or setting political agendas, they are incredible stories of power and resilience that simply demanded retelling.

We have a dream. She has a plan.
